Our Community Aspirations

Together we commit to our best efforts to achieve the following community aspirations:

* express truest feelings
* open dialogue - we agree to be offended gracefully
* don't use language with intention hurt
* what is said here stays here and what is learned here leaves here
* responsibility to share our disagreements
* meet people where they are at - be careful of judgement
* lets have fun
* ? ("group therapy esque style issue . . .")

More on this next week. Thoughts here heartily welcomed.

  1. I'm sorry I wasn't here for this conversation. I feel that these aspirations are fitting for this course, and are respectfully challenging!

    I can't wait for the dialogue to unfold and the learning and development to happen even further! Good effort everyone, I'm glad we have this for our community!

  2. Hey yall..I wasn't sure how to post this .. so it's coming as a comment unfortunately but I wanted let you know about an event tonight in Sellery Hall at 7pm. It's called Disability 101-----join the McBurney Center’s Speakers Bureau for an informative and engaging presentation and discussion about disability. Topics covered will include Deaf culture, etiquette towards persons with disabilities, as well as the history, culture, and terms pertaining to persons with disabilities. You don't have to be a Sellery resident to go! Hope to see you there!
